Stayy property memberships

Stayy property memberships

As a property owner or manager you can choose to have Property Memberships as a Guest Role. With just a few extra clicks, memberships allow you to create recurring automated monthly payments for access to your property, or a one time payment for a fixed amount of property access time. This lets you better automate property access and payments. Members that have not paid, cancel their membership, or have a scheduled end of membership are automatically stopped from scheduling time on your property calendar, and are moved to ‘view only’ property page access.

Note that: Memberships are between the property owner and the member. There are no memberships for Stayy as a platform. Your guest privileges and property usage ability is between you and the property owner.

Great examples of membership role use:

The Seasonal Ski Lease

Popular in the Lake Tahoe area, winter long ski lease cabins are a great way to maintain consistent rental income all winter, and not worry about nightly maintenance or ever-changing short term rental regulations.

As an example: a group of friends rents your amazing 2 bedroom slope-side cabin, splitting the six month rental between four couples. Obviously not everyone can stay at the same time, despite the reasonably comfy sofa bed. But that’s ok, they can all easily see who’s there and schedule ahead by sleeping space for the weekends they really want and whoever schedules last gets the couch, or get’s left out. You’re getting paid the same amount anyway for the monthly membership. If you choose to allow it, members can also invite Guests to the property under your created Guest Role. This lets your members easily include friends and family that can schedule stays with whatever rules or prices you’ve set for regular nightly guest stays. When the membership ends, any guests invited by that member also lose access to your property. Next season you can simply offer a new membership and everything is already ready to go.

You can also use Stayy for scheduling and guest payments as the person or group leasing the property.

Shared or co-owned vacation property

When sharing property with a large family, it’s good to know everyone is on the same page. Instead of giving everyone in the family manager access where they can all mess with settings and all have the same access to invited guests and pricing changes. You can simply create a property memberships role and invite primary family members to be members. Like your brother and sister both might become members of your property, paying their reasonable monthly share, and they can then invite their significant other, children, in-laws, and friends… as regular guests of the property.

Setting Up Property Memberships.

It just takes a couple extra clicks to set up property memberships. When you’ve added your property to Stayy, edit your property settings by clicking on the property status edit button in the top right corner. If should look like this (or slightly different if you’ve already changed your property to active).

From there you can choose the options you want for your members.

  • Instant scheduling or managed approval for each stay.
  • Choose if you want members to be able to invite other guests.
  • Member information. You might want to include specific house rules only for members here, or additional information that they will need to know, like how to get their trash collection contract set up with the city.
